CFA Forthcoming Activities

February 28, 2008		College Faculty Association General Assembly at the USC Main
		Gymnasium from 1:00PM - 6:00PM. We already communicated to the
		Administration to suspend classes in the afternoon so that every faculty
		can attend. Your attendance and participation is very important.

February 29, 2008		Teacher’s Day. Celebration will start at 4:00PM at the Cebu City Sports
		Club , Ayala Business Park. We also ask the Administration that there will
		be no classes the entire day. This year’s preparation for the Teacher’s
		Day the is taken cared of by the Office of the Students Services lead by
		Ma’am Alo. See you there.

Revised Evaluation Instruments

Every USC faculty will agree that the present Student, Peer and Administrator Evaluation instruments of Faculty Performance are due for revision. Hence, a Faculty Evaluation Committee was convened on January 19, 2007 to review the current faculty evaluation instruments and propose an improved version based on comments and suggestions of concerned members of the Board of Trustees, the Council of Deans and other university administrators. The pilot testing of the tool was done in August and September last year.

Since this concerns the faculty, the CFA Officers and Board Members requested the
Faculty Evaluation Committee to present the draft of the four revised evaluation instruments for comments and suggestions which they did last February 13, 2008. The officers are now consolidating all the comments and suggestions. However, we believed that the faculty should also review the said instruments and give their suggestions and comments.

So in this regard we will be providing you a copy of these instruments. Please take time to review them and if you have comments and suggestions kindly write them and submit to us for consolidation and submission to the committee.

After all the reviews, the said evaluation instruments will be implemented in SY 2009-2010.
